Postdoctoral Researcher in the gene therapy/genetic vaccine group

We are looking to appoint a postdoctoral scientist with experience in viral
vectorology and/or HIV vaccinology to join our well-funded HIV vaccine research
programme. The successful candidate should have excellent skills in molecular
biology, aseptic cell culture, molecular cloning, viral vector construction
to undertake work in the field of HIV vaccine development evaluating a revolutionary
new approach to combat HIV and generate sustained and robust immune protection. They
will be responsible for developing lentiviral vectors, manufacturing of recombinant
virus and co-ordinating activities of using viral gene transfer vectors. Post is
available now and will be up to 12 months in the first instance, and is funded by
the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

12 months contract, likely renewable, depending on achievements & phase II
funding.
