BSGT HELPLINE

Logo image for helpline. The British Society for Gene Therapy (BSGT) has set up a helpline for researchers working in the gene or cell therapy field. The helpline is designed to promote communication between the UK gene and cell therapy groups and is in the form of a mailing list, to which researchers can e-mail their queries. The e-mail will go to approximately 30 participants who have been nominated as appropriate representatives for their respective gene or cell therapy research groups.

In order to e-mail the helpline you must be a BSGT member and you must agree to have your e-mail address added to the mailing list, as this will enable the list to grow and will add in your expertise. The helpline is essentially a problem line to enable researchers to ask questions of each other. Types of queries might be laboratory and clinical technical questions, equipment sourcing, resource sharing, trial set-up and regulatory advice. We have recently added a GTAC member to the list in order to deal with regulatory issues. The helpline can also be used to make announcements, or share ideas.

If anybody wishes to make use of this service they should first contact the helpline administrator (Miss T. Higgins t.higgins@ic.ac.uk) in order to be added to the mailing list.
